About Me

My name is Heather, and I am a wife, mother of two, and runner from Ontario, Canada. This is my second attempt at blogging, and my first time starting it with a purpose and direction.

I get bored easily, and never stop learning. Currently, I am indoor cycle instructor, certified personal trainer, and group fitness instructor. My summers and early fall seasons are mainly spent co-directing Run Ajax, training for fall races and practicing photography. My love affair with running started in 2011 when I ran my first race. Since that 10km, I have experienced the highest of highs and the lowest of lows because of running. Racing distances from 5km to 50km on the roads, trails and mountains has brought me new friends, goals, dreams, opportunities, and confidence. A lot changed when my foot broke in the last 6km of the Hamilton Marathon. A fresh perspective surfaced, and a new approach to training and living is the result of that fracture. This blog is the culmination of the lessons I have learned along the way and continue to learn through my journey as a runner.
